Sterling’s past goes a few years back into the steamboat era when Sterling Engine Works founded its name. It was common to see a steam ship at Sterling’s dock located along the Red River beside the Provencher Bridge in St. Boniface Winnipeg, MB.

As the result of the World Wars, traditional engine shops such as Sterling were transformed for military application.

Since the 1940’s Sterling has maintained a full machine shop facility meeting the needs of the industry.

Sterling’s diverse expertise is the result of over 60 years in the machine industry, collecting knowledge and experience needed for industrial problem solving solutions.

In-house service, as well as millwright crews, are a necessity in serving today’s requirements with 24 HOUR emergency call service to maintain the production requirements of today.
